UPDATED 5/16/2020 Coronavirus COVID-19 Response Plan
Drive in services will continue every Sunday for the 10:45 AM service until further notice.

Restrooms will be made available before and after the service, but not during
. You may access the restroom from the side parking lot entrance. Someone will be there to assist you. And please remember to social distance and wear your mask.

There will be a junior church class offered at the Fellowship Center during the 10:45 service. This class is for 4 year olds through the sixth grade. Masks must be worn at all times and social distancing will take place. Restrooms will be made available for the kids. Terry and Teresa Turner will be facilitating this class for the children. Parents may drop their kids off by 10:45 and pick them up after the service.

Please be faithful in your giving during this time with your current and perhaps previous offerings.  The service will also be live streamed if you can’t make it out or would prefer to remain sheltered at this time.  Our Sunday night and Wednesday night services will be on the website as video presentations.  While this is not the same as a normal church gathering, there are many churches that report a great sense of togetherness in worship by using this approach.  So please come join us for a morning of preaching from the Word and allow the Lord to speak to you through this time.  See you there!

If you have questions please call the church office Monday through Friday at 814-236-0646. We encourage you to send any giving via traditional mail using a check. Please do not mail cash. The church address is P.O. Box 202 Curwensville 16833. Also please mark either on the memo line or an inserted note how you want your giving designated, whether it be your tithe, missions, or specific designated offering.

We will utilize the one call system whenever there is any new or important information to pass along. Please check back often as we will be posting new sermon content under the Listen Online section of this website.

Weekly Bulletin Note

John 15:13 says “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Good Morning!  Welcome to Community Baptist Church.

Memorial Day Weekend is here! The unofficial start of summer filled with family gatherings, BBQs, parades, and memories of those Veterans that paid the ultimate sacrifice for the freedoms our country provides us today. Your gatherings might be smaller this year, but I pray just as meaningful as in past years. The other day I came across a stone that had this saying: Jesus Christ died for your sins; the American soldier died for your freedom. What a powerful message! I thank the Lord for all the men and women that sacrificed their lives for this country and pray for their families. As much as I thank these honored people, I am eternally grateful for the One that gave His own life so that I could be free from the bondage of sin! This weekend, celebrate both soldier and Saviour and love what they did for the sake of freedom!

In Christ,

Bro. Bill Caldwell

Daku Missionary Update

Dear Church Family,

Greetings to all! This week we were blessed to get away with my brothers Scot, Josh and their families. They drove down from the north and we spent the week in Gatlinburg. We were able to purchase a cabin big enough for all of us at an unbelievable rate! This was a special time for us as we have not seen Scot and his family while we have been back in the States. We have been hiking, fellowshipping, playing games, and eating! Josh and Frances left to attend a deputation meeting today. Scot and crew will be staying an extra week with us in Knoxville. We are thankful for the Lord giving us this special time together.

News from Kiribati is the same. Things are going well. Please continue to pray for our church registration. We have submitted everything we were told to submit. A government committee will meet in the next couple of weeks. Please pray for a favorable outcome. Thank you for your faithful prayers for us. We are praying for you!

For God’s Glory,
Your Daku’s
